I just got a small tach and small fuel economy guage that I would like to install in my '88 240. It look like the tach shares its light source with the Fuel economy guage. From where would I the Fuel Economy guage get its signal? Is it ran off the Vaccume system. If so, where should I go off of. Is there any other part that I will need to make this guage work?

I'd like to get one of those fuel economy guages. Where did you find it? I'll keep watching this post to see how it's installed.

I got the fuel economy guage in a wreaking yard, along with a small tach and an oil pressure guage all for $15. I couldn't resist that deal. If I wan't to intall the oilpressure guage I will have to find the sending unit, which was not on the car, which is something I will deal with latter, as I only have room for two extra guages presently. My radio might end up in the lower position, if I find a coulple more intersting guages, however I havent found those yet.
