white smoke, valve noise and un-even compression 200

My 87 240DL kicked out quite a bit of white smoke and some awful noise while doing so. The temp was normal and it stopped after I pulled over and sat for a minute. It only happend while the engine was being revved never at idle. I didn't see any water in the oil and it's still got me another mile or so to work. The copression from font to back was 120 60 150 150. I think it's time for a valve job. Any other ideas?

You might have blown the head gasket as well... keep checking for oil in the coolant, coolant in the oil, and bubbles in the expansion tank.

probably just a broken valve spring. pull the cam cover off and look at 2's valves. 1 is probably lower than the other. good luck, chuck.
