I'm replacing my steering wheel. It needs a deep 27mm socket. I'm having a hard time finding one. Is the 1 1/16 standard the equivalent?

I used a 1 1/16th Craftsman deep well socket to remove the wheel on my '81. No problem...

1 1/16 will not work . You can get a 27 mm from Sears.
