Installing a hitch on my car? 200

I just bought a used draw tite hitch from a local junkyard. It only came with the hitch, reciever and ball, no instructions or hardware. Can someone please tell me how to install my hitch and what i need to do it? Thanks very much

Thaks a bunch guys i'll go back to see if they still have the bolts. If they don't, what size do i need to try and find?

Installing a hitch on a 240 absolutely needs those long bolts.............. 200

and they are hard to find separately.

All the hitch installer places get the bolts with the hitch kit. Houston is loaded with small machine shops (for oilpatch work), so I finally found a bolt & nut house that will sell me a meter length of the right grade and thread.

It would have to be cut to length and stop nuts put on to work as bolt heads. Grade 8 is slooow to hacksaw, and 2 cuts would be needed to make 2 bolts.

Hot foot it back to the junk yard and get the bolts.

Good Luck,

Bob

Is there any way that you can go back to the junkyard and get the bolts for it?
You are going to need the two long bolts that go down from the trunk/luggage area through the frame rail through the hitch mount, and the other bolts to mount it.
You will have to pull off the skirt under the bumper cover, or cut to fit around it( somebody may have the template ) after that the install is fairly self explanitory.
