Going to look at an '86 240 200 1986

My mom needs a replacement for her aging VW Jetta. We've searched out a one owner '86 244. My personal experience has been with a "81 245 GLT KJET car. Are there any diferences in the two that I need to look for that could be a deal breaker? I think its just going to be AW70 and Bosch LH.

Thanks Bricksters

It'll be LH 2.2, and it falls solidly in the bad wiring harness years. The harness would be the real issue, so look at it carefully.

'86-plus cars had much better rust protection than '81's. Score one
for you!
