Sadly this morning my wife was backing out of the driveway not paying enough attention and someone slammed into the pass quater panal, no frame damage but it did some good damage to the body where as it is no where near worth repairing. My 89 745 with ONLY 266 on it is going to be retired soon. almost makes me want to cry all the Time and Money i put into it.

Anyone need any part's from a wagon minus the pass rear quater panal feal free to pop me an e-mail everything on the car was basicly perfect or had been replaced in the last 2 years.

Jason,
Sorry to hear the bad news. But 266K on a station wagon is pretty darn good. Think of all of the practice that car gave you so you could help others on this board. Let her rest in piece and part with her :)

My intentions were 300k lol, and ive decided to go ahead and get her to 300k, i found a shop who will do the labor for $700, and found a colcor matched entire quater area for $250, i also found a window for $100 fac tinted it will take a few months but she will be back in business and running just as strong and the rock she is.

Is the damage into the rear hatch as well? And how about the rear glass? If not for either, then that ain't bad at all. Even if so, I might just be interested to repair it and keep it going.

Im more opt to part it out, the damaged is to the Quarter panal and interior body, frame survived some how, rear door survived without any damaged other then a scratch from me, the whole quater panal and interior metal panaling behind it will have to be replaced additionally so will the rear right pilled which is compltetly toasted, basicly from the tai light ( where it used to be ) to the top of the pilled to just behind the wheeld is gone, the damage went to the top of the glass on that side also.

The only reason why im most opt to part it out is ill get what it is worth, i put about 3 grand or more in it in the last 2 year's doing the head liner, replacing everything but the head gasket on the engine including all sensor's and seal's entire front end, brakes on the rear also, new center support, Turbo rim's and door handls, new ac system, new ecu, etc etc.

Was just about to take it to have the new hood put on and a paint job, PO bumped a suv denting the front of the hood.

Both tail lights were new the right one has dicenigrated somewhere where the car was hit.

Its the Green Like color volvo used, i call it green others blue its a dark forrest green though. Front end is in great shape, the only flaw on the front end is where a rock smacked one of the turn signals and put a small crack in it about dead center, no chipping though, most everything else is still shinney.

Im in Lakewood

If anyone else read's this, the engine is pretty much off limit's i have decided while i part it out i will pul the engine and put it in the turbo i have in my garage which needs an engine.

Oh that's a very pretty color. That's what my wagon is as well (of course the clear coat is peeling a bit on the roof).

What color is the interior and what material are the seats covered in?

If you have already invested a 3 grand, why aren't you going to fix whatever you can and have a bodyshop do the rest?

The cost to fix the damage would deff exceed 3 grand, plus the safty cage has been compromised to a point where i doubt even with lot's of welding it would hold up well in a rear end collision. All in all id probly have to put more then double the value into the car to fix it back, since ive already put about the blue book value into it id rather stop here and just call it a loss, i love the car but love will only get you so far.

It would take the entire inside frame to have to be pulled out including the underside where the cubby hole is, the entire quarter panal section, the support beam where the door meets and closes would have to be pulled and replaced.
