high RPM's before shift

I have a 93 945 that just turned 186,000 miles this morning.

I had the trans fluid changed about 6 months ago with the power flush system at a "Jiffy lube" the fluid was a little darker in color them I would have like to seen, they also thought it was a little too dark. it was running better for a short time then started to act up again. I then removed the filter and replaced the fluid with the same amount of fluid that came out. it is still running into the 4000 to 4500 range before sfifting to second and third.

Any information on something I can do to correct this, or a good shop in southren NJ would be very helpfull.

thanks in advance

Check the operation of the kick down cable that goes from throttle body down to tranny. It may be sticking our out of adjustment. It's purpose is to control the shift points when moving out.
