Kinked Fuel Pump Hose 200 1989

To All,

while trying to replace the fuel filter on my 89 Volvo 240 DL Wagon, I kinked the fuel pump metal hose that goes into the fuel filter. The bolts going into the filter were practically welded shut. Nonetheless, I aborted the project and hoped the car would start - it did not.

Can this metal hose be straightened out? Do I have to buy a new fuel pump? Or can this component be purchased separately?

I look forward to your replies.

Regards

Mike

hi there if you replace it with some auto parts store fuel hose make sure it is a very tight to slip over the barbed ends. my first attempt leaked because the hose was not tight enough.

It's plastic hose. You can either replace the hose with fittings or cut off the plastic hose and repair it with a piece of high pressure fuel hose and clamps.
