Removing/ painting bumper bars. 200

Greetings all, just wondering if anyone has had experience with colour-coding bumper-bars. To get it professionally done costs about AUD$300 per bumper! PFF! However, seeing as i can get auto paint for cheapish, i figure it cant be thattt hard.

1, Who knows how to take the bumpers off without destroying things..

2, Should i opt for a high-build non-flexible primer, or a plastic flexi-prime with less build???

3, I plan to use a 'colour-touch' auto spray paint and a clear coat on top, should it work ok??

Thanks in advance all.
Chris.

I can't speak to the best method of painting them, but the bumper covers are held on just with pressure clips. If you get your head in there you will see them and they can just be pried/slid off toward the inside of the car. Then the cover slides right off once the clips are off.
