Can't open door 200 1983

Alrighty, so I've tried everything I can think of, and I still can't open the driver's side passenger door on my 244. It's probably something simple, but I can't fix it if I can't get to it. The problem is that I can't get the door panel off to get to the innards of the mechanism.

I've tried taking the bolts out of the hinges on the b-pillar to loosen it up, with limited success - I still can't get to the bottom clips however. And I don't want to break/destroy the door panel, so finding something long enough but thin enough to enter the inside of the panel through the small opening is proving difficult.

Any ideas out there?

    Is the outside door handle off the latch but it works on the inside.

      Neither handles work to open the door. They function to a certain point and then they seem to be caught up on something. Almost as if the child lock switch is making both unusable.
