Something in rear driver's side door rattles when shut 200 1990

Just noticed that when I shut the rear driver's side door, something inside the door rattles. It sounds like it's coming from somewhere below the window trims.

Windows are powered and are fully up. Anyone knows how to fix the rattling?

Thanks.

This may not apply to you but I have a 740 wagon. I hear a rattle when I close either rear door but the sound could be coming from somewhere rearward of the back door, maybe the storage areas behind the rear wheel wells. I cleaned out the wells but the sound remains if and only if all other doors are closed. Open the tailgate and the rattle does not appear. The rattle is not coming from the tailgate. So I surmise that slamming a door must force some air past something and makes it jump, maybe a loose wiring harness or something. Weird.

It's hard to say how to fix it without knowing what's making the noise.

Therefore:

a) Remove the interior panel of the door.
b) Look around inside the door to find out what's loose or broken
c) Rectify it.

Don't I know this problem!
When you get the fittings off and the door lining removed, you find nothing loose. Put it all back, and the rattle starts again.
My only suggestion apart from inspecting very carefully is to widen your field of search. Sound travels, and the apparent source from the perspective of the driver can actually be somewhere else, not necessarily very close.
Try seat belt recoil fixing,
Speaker mounting
Plastic seat belt cover on the door pillar
Something inside the cill, perhaps a dislodged plastic bung
Fuel pump mounting
Brake or fuel line vibrating against car
Suspension movement
Shock absorber mounting.
I have had all these at various times, and the apparent location has always been miles away from the actual source.

Good luck. I'm off to try and locate the rattling from behind the central console - again!.

Thanks for the suggestions! I didn't want to open the door panel before knowing what that will get myself into.
