Voltage regulator 140-160 1972

I need to install a new voltage regulator in my 164. Just to be sure I have the wiring straight before I do this..........it looks to me like
---DF on regulator goes to DF on Alternator
---D+ on regulator goes to 61 on alternator.
And here's the question........Does D on the regulator go to ground????

The D- (minus) does, yes.
