Panel switch lights all went out 900 1994

My dash panel lights for all of my switches have gone out. would it be a fuse or some sort of relay causing this?

Also, my wipers work fine, but when I go to use the washer, it doesn't work. I can hear the pump going, but no water comes out. Sometimes a drop or two. Any suggestions?

It is likely a continuity problem, as I have a very similar problem despite replacing the rheostat wheel. If I move the switch assembly to lock it into place, the lights go out. I'm bring it in to the dealer and I'll report what problem was found. I don't have the time place or inclination to fault trace it. See my latest post in the S/V90 forum.

940SE Turbo 1993
Im going through a similar nightmare. Its probably a bad connection on the back of the dash. On mine I've got the dash loose in the console so that when the lights go out, I just pull the dash towards me and dab about on the back until suddenly bingo! it lights up and works again. I had it a year ago, then it went away and came back this november when it got cold in the UK so its almost certainly a bad connection. Last week I got tired of it and disconnected the turbo pipe that runs to it and pulled the dash well forward and tried just tweaking up some of the screws that hold that curcuit board/paper thing to the back. I have had the problem for about 10 days now so it was quite possibly just a bad earth, in the FAQ people are always having to mess about checking these earth connections. Oh and be careful not to touch the back of the dash on to the aluminium holder like I did the other day as the fusible link up the top of that board thing will blow and you'll lose all the dials as well as the lights . . . easy enough to repair though with some v.thin fuse wire.
So try carefully disconnecting and reconnecting the block connectors on the back and tightening the screws a little, also twist all the bulb holders to make sure they've got good connections. Oh and if those lights dont come on your battery probably isnt charging so check it with a meter when youre lights go out.
Best of luck
vincent

Thanks, I'll give it a try. I don't have anything to lose at this point.

Washers 900 1994

Cannot comment on the panel lights, it might be the rheostat on the light switch. As for water not coming out of the nozzles, use a safety pin to try unclogging the nozzles first. If that doesn't work, look for a leak in the line somewhere, including under the hood insulation.

When all appears to be functioning without a stream from the nozzles, the check valve is the likely culprit. It sits in at the 't' between the two nozzles, under the hood and buried beneath any insulation. Cheap fix.
