Do 700's have a heater control valve? 700

I have an 85 760 turbo. In the morning if I let the car warm up it will usually produce heat when warm. A few mornings I take off and the car will warm up while driving. No warm air comes out even though the engine is warm. About 20 minutes of driving I finally get heat. I believe I replaced the water valve in the engine compartment last year.

Check thermostat too...start up car when cold and hold onto top rad hose. If you feel it heat up right away then you know the thermostat is stuck open.

if you live in a cold country ,it may be possible that the thermostat is stuck at open.

yes it does, locate the heater hoses going into your heater core and you will see the valve on the upper heater hose.

Behind the dash? Not the valve in the engine compartment right?
Thanks,

The valve in the engine compartment is the only water control valve. All other controls affect air flow only. They are worked by vacuum motors run by a system of very small vacuum tubes. It's possible you have an issue with one of those. Try blocking the water control valve (on the heater hose) wide open and see what happens.
