While changing my oilfilter I noticed an oppen nipple on the passenger side of the block. It looks like a sparkplug with the cermanic removed. Also on the passenger side near the beginning of the tranmission tunnel is an unterminated hose ending about where the O2 sensor is. Neither have vacumn present at idle. The motor is a 230ft in a 91'940 turbo wagon. Anybody know what these are? Thanks!

The nipple by oil filter is the block drain,it has two threaded parts, you loosen the outer part to drain the coolant. Some of time they are plugged, just unscrew all the way out. If not plugged, slip a hose on it to direct coolant into pan. No ideas as to your other open fitting. Hope this helps. Later,rcs
