Wiggle in Steering Wheel 900 1996

Hello again with the same problem. The car is a 96/960. I have a small wiggle in the steering wheel. This normally comes from the rear wheels if there is a problem with the brakes or rotors. the car had a strong wiggle and vibration when I bought it. I had replaced the rotors and pads then. The wiggles in the steering and vibration disappeared, but now three months later the wiggles have come back when pressing the brakes softly, the brakes hesitate. Everything OK when pushing hard and no vibration when slamming on the brakes at high speed. I have taken the calipers apart and they look fine. There isn't any rust or scratches. The cylinders moves freely.
What could be the problem? Thanks.

You stated you had disassembled the calipers. Did the slider pins move freely in the bushings? A sticking pin could cause the slight wobble/vibration you feel in the steering wheel when you lightly touch the brake. I usually take a bore brush to the bushings in the caliper and clean up the pin with Scotchbrite then antisieze everything and reassemble. Let us know what you find. Good luck.

I removed the calipers from the sliderr. The pins had dark gray grease on them, no dirt or anything. I cleanned and put new brake grease. Everything seems fine there.

I would think about whether the front conical bushings are shot. This is a common issue in 900 cars and can mimic the feeling of warped brake rotors. Check out the front suspension section in the FAQs:

Hope this helps.
