tire size? 200

I run a 76' 245 with 16 inch 5 spoke swept wheels with 205-55-16 tires. My question is will 225-60-16 tires fit in the fender of my car? Tires are free and in great shape.

Hydra rims ... 25mm offset, so you've lost some inboard clearance already. Anyways, they'll fit ... if you modify the entire front spindle. Do the math yourself and you'll figure out how big these tires are.

Original tire size is a 185R14, about 25.6" diameter. That's about what you should be targeting, give or take a little. 205/60/16 comes in at 25.7", 215/55/16 comes in at 25.3". Those are your best bets.

FWIW, anything larger than 26" becomes iffy. Expect rubbing at the least, and downright "can't fit it at all" at the worst. If you absolutely must, do it at your own risk.

- I'm not good w/math.

Never too late to learn, y'know. Simply looking at a tire spec chart will yield how big it is too.

If you haven't figured out what I wrote, reread it. The short answer is that NO, it will not work.

-- Kane ... BTW, it's not relocating the spindle; it's modifying in the sense of cutting/extending/welding/etc.
