I have been playing with the idea of upgrading the exhaust on my 79 264GL for some time now. I was going to go with a Turbo Muffler in place of the stock front muffler (slight modification for the hangers needed) and then routing a single pipe under the axle where it would kick out into two tailpipes exiting either end of the car. I would have my uncle's shop bend the piping from the Turbo Muffler back but everything else is stock and should be a simple job for any decent mufler shop. As far as the 79 262C I'm going to keep her as stock as possible since I would love to enter here in a Stock Class event in the future.
Quick question, does your 78 262C still have the original engine in it or did you swap in a B28 to replace the old B27? The 76-79 260's that had V6's came with the B27, all other years came with a B28. I was just curious. Take Care!
