740, 1990 check engine light 700 1990

A co-worker of mine has a 1990 740 that turns on the check engine light for the first 5 or so minutes it runs, and then turns it off. From what I can tell, this is a Regina car. When checking for codes on the diagnostic connector, it comes back all clear. Even when the check engine light is on, the car runs fine.

Any thoughts, O2 sensor? Car is an automatic and has 170K miles.

That should be the maintenace light not the check engine. There is a black plug in the instrument display. Pull the plug out and press the button.

Service light, perhaps, not check engine?
