An update to previous messages.....I thought it was the wiring connector on the the transmission harness....I replaced it and the connection is guaranteed....Still have the problem....If I am going to replace the solenoid where do I get one and just how do I do It.....The porblem is really annoying me...Thanks

Well I called Borton and they gave me a price of $150 so I ordered it because my local Volvo dealer wanted $440....I will post a reply when the new one goes in.....Thanks for all of your help

Try FCP Groton or Borton Volvo online, they have very good discounts.

The trans pan must be dropped. The original gasket is a liquid gasket, you can buy that from Volvo as well or ask your local parts shop for a trans. filter for a 90-94 Lexus LS400 or a Purolator P1250 ATF (filter/gasket). It basically the same trans. That filter and gasket will work. Also suggest using Mobil1 ATF.
