'91 740, No start in wet weather 700 1991

Not always, but in certain cool, very wet conditions, the car turns over fine, no start, but then a few hours later when things dry it starts right up. A while back I replaced that ignition module bolted to the drivers side of the engine compartment (I forget what it is called). I figure I am going to replace all of my spark plug/ignition wires as a first step towards trouble shooting.

Any other suggestions?
Thanks.
Bert

The day I bought my 85 245 it was drizzling/damp.
NO start.Plugs were wet . Dried them off and it
fired right up.Cap & rotor first.Original owner
said it NEVER started on wet days...but he didn't
do preventative maintenance.
Happy Brickin'!

Your right to change the plug and distributor wires first. This is very likely the problem. Just make sure you get a good set or you'll be doing it again soon (take it from experience).

You may want to consider a new distributor cap and rotor if it has never been changed. I just saw one on ebay with plugs for a reasonable buy now price.
