84 240DL windshield wiper switch problem 200

Greetings,

My 84 240 has a problem with the windshield wiper switch. Push it down and the single wipe works fine...push it up (on) and nothing happens. Any ideas and what is involved in getting it fixed?

    its not hard to fix. u have to take the plastic around the steering wheel off a couple of screws to remove, and then undo a couple screws and unplug wiper switch it go to junk yard and get it maybe around 15.00 not sure but its easy juob to do u need to get one for any 200 model and 84 yr also we have maintained our own cars and have 6 of them since 1994 and I am a woman and its that easy if I can do it.
