my gastet set for my b230f cost me 40 something dollars (complete kit) elring and 100K later it is perfect.

Keep the pump since it's recent. no need to spend money there. get some high temp rtv sealant (red)for the little round seal that seals water pump to head (you will see after you take it off).

You need intake gastket, exhasut gaskets, thermostat seal (maybe a new tstat?) valve cover gasket, and might as well replace the front and rear cam seals while the head is off.

coolant flush and engine oil change.

yes that heater hose is a good idea, thoguh I had not changed mine 100k ago and at now 300K it's still original.

you need a torque wrench for the head bolts. I used the same bolts...

Also, I did not take off the intake compeltely. I undid the bolts, and pulled it off side about an inch to get the head off. extra hands or some thin rope can help hold everything in place.
