Modifying 91 945t 900 1991

I have a 91 945T wagon with the B230ft
I have had the car since i bought it new, i love it and i dont want to have to part with it. that said, the car is up to 130k, i know this is the point near where the turbo usualy fails on these cars. In a recent test i found that i'm getting 95% of spec compression on 3 cylinders (1,2,4) and only 75% on number 3. The car still runs great and has lots of power.

I wanted to get some opinions on where to go with the car from here. I'm trying to figure out if it would be better to go with a new block or bore this one out. i have wanted to convert the engine to a 2.5L, and do a number of other mods to it.

I have a modified Hybrid KKK turbo sitting in a box in my garage for the engine. I would like to put a 3" turbo back exaust onto the car. from looking around i havent found any one who has done this but i was wondering about putting the 16V head onto the b230/250ft block

I have been told that because the engine has a very short stroke, the engine if in good condition is easily capable of 7.5-8k rpm. the only ECU i can find that could allow for this is the one from BSR (http://bsrab.se/products/n339/t772/)

I run the front end (service writer) for a honda rice shop, the guys in the back all owe me favors so i'm only looking at costs of parts. (no labor costs)
however i have no clue where to find anything other than IPD
please clue me in on where to get parts and possibly an idea of a complete system. i'm looking to go to 240-280HP without running over 13lb of boost

many thanks

Modifying 91 945t 900 1991

hey, i have a 93 945ti and ive done a few things to make it faster. the easiest stuff is opening up the intake and exhaust. there are a few things you can remove from the air intake system to open it up and add a k&n filter, a through tuneup/headgasket and check to the system for codes, magncor wires, hotter coil, bigger turbo, and 3' exhaust. ive done all of this and the car runs great and has alot more power. you can get a chip, install ford brown top injectors, get a better intercooler, change all the fluids to synthetic, ipd springs, sway bars, etc. there is alot of info and people modifying these cars. here are a few links to help you out.

and dont forget about the v8 conversion. its alot of money to get alot of power out of a b23 motor, this could be the same price. i did it to my 745 and it was a very fun, fast and reliable car.

At 130K it is still a baby. The compression issue may just be coked up oil rings. Head over to www.bobistheoilguy.com and read up on Auto-Rx under the forums section. Go to the forums, middle of the left column. Then read the Additives, Fuel, Oil, Cleaners forum for posts on Auto-Rx. A lot of the guys that have used it got most of their compression back after doing a cleaning cycle with Auto-Rx. It is a gentle cleaner that works over 3000 miles. If you have a worn cylinder it will not help. But $50 is a lot cheaper than tearing an engine down to find out it was only stuck coked up piston rings that were effecting the compression.
www.auto-rx.com/index.html is the web site for info and ordering. It is not a snake oil it does what it says it does.
For performance here is a link to a modification section over at TurboBricks on 700-900 mods. http://www.mcbrooms.com/volvo/fast700.htm

Ummm...
Watercooled turbos often go well over 250K miles without service.
