ticking FI/wobbly idle 700 1984

1984 760gle, B28F engine.

The idle sags about every 2 seconds and the #1 injector ticks along with it. Is the ticking injector the cause or a symptom - or normal?

Have you tried adding some injector cleaner to your gas??

Describe Ticking... exceptionally loud ticking? hard to hear?

Fuel injectors tick as they work, but usually you have to use something like your ear to a screwdriver to actually hear the ticking.
