help my volvo sh*t the bed 700 1988

IM new to volvos this is my first one.my 88 740 wagon has sh*t the bed. It ran fine a few days ago, I hit a damn big pothole,it ran fine for about 3 minutes, and then my car just ran like real crap. I got home doing 15mph on the side of the road with my flashers! It idles bad, the engine shakes around in there, seems to smooth out after 2k rpm, but it still has no power. It feels like it timed all wrong or something. I have new spark plugs and wires. its not the AMM i tried that. I dont *think* anythings leaking from the air hoses. HELP i have to get this fixed by the end of the week. ANY help from you guys who have experience with volvos of this vintage is greatly appreciated. Matt

I presume from your sig this is a Turbo.
If turbo, then no on-board diagnostics.
If non-turbo, then try to get fault codes from the computer.

I remember something about a "limp home mode" for the computer. Maybe that's what your 740 is doing.

Maybe get your car on a lift so you can look around down below, and see if maybe you pulled loose a vacuum line low down, like one to a vapor canister??

Maybe you hit in such a way as to damage a fuel line? Again, look below.

I'm just guessing here. I see no other posts, so I figure it's worth a stab.
