IPD Rear Springs 200

Rear of my '86 240DL is sagging/low. IPD is having a sale on overload springs. Any opinions ? Will they be too stiff ? I really do not ever carry much weight in car. Would I maybe be better with regular springs ? Thanks in advance for opinions & advice on this.

Having them on my 86 Wagon, They are worth the cost. The ride is much more responsive in corners and the rear can take a very heavy load without sagging. They are not too stiff. The Volvo Ride is still great.

Ditto that it may be the rear trailing arm bushings instead of the springs. Such said, the iPd overloads are worth it if you carry cargo. Where as 800 lbs. use to dip cause a lot dipping and bottoming out on stock springs, I could be past the 1/2 ton mark with the overloads and not have any issues.

Heck, once I even loaded up nearly 3/4 tons of marble floor tiles. Got home just fine, and didn't even scrape the driveway going up.

The sag might be worn TAB's and not the springs giving up......... I do have the IPD overload springs on the kid's 244DL and they are firmer than the originals, but not to firm. They do give a much nicer ride if you carry lots of passengers.

I have them on all of my kids wagons (3 240's) and they are great. They seem to be a little springier when coming out of dips and the like but I think the trade off is well worth it.
