I own a 1996 960 Volvo Wagon - runs great, however, during a recent hose change out I was not paying attention to how the hoses should go back on the oil filter housing (cooler?) anyway, one hose is shorter than the other and both are form fitted - I chose to go with a non-factory non-form fitted hose replacement - my question is did I put these hoses on correctly? I was concerned that maybe I cris-crossed the hoses? Can anyone provide a photo of what the bottom of their 960 looks like and where these hoses go? STUCK in TN - THANK YOU!

I am just about to tackle this area.

It looks pretty obvious, the LH filter hose fitting connects with the LH radiator fitting and vica versa.

This is not the same thing that I am needing help with - thanks for the posting, but what I am referring to is the following: On my 960 if you look at the Oil Filter - there is a housing that comes down that 2 heater hoses connect to. ONe of the hoses goes from that oil filter housing to an aluminum hose that has something that looks like a pressure valve on it, while the other shoots up to join with another hose - Without my posting a picture I'm not sure if anyone knows what I'm talking about, but anyway any help would be most appreciated - Still stuck in Tennessee!

I was at the dealer today, checking on o-rings for the oil cooler thermostat coonection on my 93 960.
The connection was changed from 93 onwards, that's why it doesn't look the same as yours.
I suggest going to the dealer and looking at "the book" rather than their computer screen.
