There are a pair of 122 parcel shelves up on eBay- looks like they're both passenger-side, but it got me wondering if there ever was a shelf that went on the driver's side. Seems like one would fit- of course, it also seems likely that the Volvo designers would consider such a thing "unsafe," as something could fall off the shelf and get in the way of the pedals... Anyway, trying to come up with a simple/clean means of mounting some front speakers. The parcel shelf has a spot for one that will work nicely with some minor modification, but the driver's side is trickier. If in fact there is a driver's side shelf also with a spot for a speaker it sure would be nice.

I mentioned in a previous post looking at kick-panel pods, etc. Doesn't seem like there's really enough room in the footwells of the Amazon for such a solution.

Not likely marketed here, but perhaps one in which the driver's side is opposite.

Either that or DIY your own shelf.
