#4 exhaust valve loosening up #3 120-130

hoo boy! i know i'm really going to hear about it this time; but is there a longer adjustment bolt i can temporarily use until i can find the time to replace this cam? because right now i'm barely catching a few threads which may be contributing to it loosening as quickly as it is . i know i need to replace the cam but i just don't have the down time to do the work, so is there an adjustment bolt from a later model i can pull from the junkyard? or a longer pushrod? thanx again for all your help.

As Rhys says, fix it now before something bad happens to the rest of your bottom end.

When the cam fails, it is the lift part of the lobe that disappears, not the base circle. What is happeing to your engine is the base of the lifter is rapidly disappearing & your lifter will soon have no base & will look like a tube instead. I once had a customer arrive that was running on three cylinders & had a pushrod hanging out of the sump! The lifter had totally failed & the pushrod got punched through the sump. It was amazingly looking, but all the cam metal floating around in the oil destroys just about everything.

When the end of the lifter comes off or shatters, it will mushroom out badly, and you will need to remove the oil pan to get it out. Customer of mine insisted on driving a B20 that was in the same state as yours, and I rebuilt the engine for him by the time he was done with it.
Fix it now.

Take one down to NAPA and see if they have any longer ones in the back (Dorman Bins). Explain your trouble to crustiest looking fella there.
