Regular oil after using synth? 700

Is it OK to put regular oil in my '91 740 after I've been using synthetic for a while? Do you think its a bad idea?

Also, what are your thoughts on that stuff you pour in with your oil that's supposed to stop minor oil leaks?

7,500 and you're on your own!
I have 270,000 on mine with 3K oil changes and when I look at the cam all I see is shiney metal- no sludge!

Sludge might not be a bad thing if it fixes my leak :>)

It is OK. No need to use additive, a sludge will begin to form that will impeed leek flow.
