How is the exterior piece of metal trim along the base of the rear window on a wagon removed/attached. Will removing it destroy any clips?

That would depend on model year you are asking about. By rear window you mean side or tailgate?

If it's 83 - 85 and the side rear we are talking about, the small chrome trim uses clips which can be replaced if removing trim breaks them. Under that is the approx 2" wide peice that is only accessible by removing the window itself and the trim is rivetted in.

I'd like to know too, although I guess I'll be finding out by doing it.
