Stuck distributor B230 200 1985

Hi all,
I am tearing down a B230 (1985) to assess condition as a spare engine.
I have encountered a problem taking the distributor out. It is stuck and won't budge. I have obviously removed the bolt securing it in place. I have been hitting it with a hammer, and the casing has broken, but it won't budge, other than turning slightly. How do I get it out of there? ANy ideas? Thanks!
