urgent help ! what next ??? 900 1993

my 940 wagon with the regina FI system died shortly after the check engine light came on and wouldn't restart.the code was 1-2-2( missing or faulty signal to/from air temp sensor).I put in a new air temp sensor and still no start.I checked the wiring near the sensor but that's it.
what should I do next?
