no start 740 700 1992

after swapping engine in 1992 740, I seem to have a timing problem. Wants to kick back on starter. Used an engine from 1989 240, but changed all sensors etc. Checked with dealer flywheels for both cars are the same. I actually ended up with both style distributors under the hood. Get same no start with either distributor. Any ideas?????????????
