So I'm trying to sell our second vehicle to reduce costs and low and behold, an interested buyer notices that the odometer isn't turning. I never noticed it so I think it's a new problem.
I pulled the speedo/instrument unit out and checked the little plastic gears as discussed in previous posts. Gear teeth are all intact and no sign of wear so I cleaned and reassembled it and re-installed it. It worked for a few miles then stopped again.
I don't have much time and would prefer not to bring it to a shop. So before I jack up the rear end and check the sensor at the driveshaft, does anyone have other suggestions?
Thanks guys.
