Headlight switch and door lamps? 900

Hello all,

I recently acquired an 1991 944T (my first Volvo). My headlight switch does not light up at night. The local dealer claims his parts system doesn't show any bulbs in this assembly, thus implying it's not supposed to be illuminated. Is this true? Also, how about the window switch panel in the door?
