hey all. 89 740t w/ 190k... stall issues. so. my idle's been a bit lumpy for a while. would bog down sometimes when switching gears, felt slow. so my timing was off. fixed that. since that was fixed, almost every time i'd go from park to drive, i'd inevitably drop rpms in the process down to about 400-500. sometimes stall, sometimes not. even sometimes as i'm decellerating, let my foot off the gas and it will drop and stall. throttle body has been cleaned maybe 20k ago or so. sprayed some t.b. cleaner into the iac last night, idle is a little less sloppy now, but it will still drop on occasion.
so, could this be trans related? the fact that its dropping on gear changes and decelleration concerns me. could my kick down cable be too tight, leaving all kinds of pressure in the valve body? engine slows down, but the trans is trying to stick with the revs?
am i totally off base here? help!!!
thanks.
jesse.
