Oil Trap (breather box) replacement - 940 2.3L non-turbo 900 1991

Tried doing this some months ago w/o success. The metal tubing [for the air injection system-I believe] that wraps around to the exhaust side of the engine is in the way and I couldn't get the fitting unscrewed. It looks like once this is unscrewed and the metal tube set aside, the breather box is more accessible.

Is this so? Is there an easier way?
