Further adventures in k-jetronic land... 200 1979

Well guys, to recap my story I've got a '79 242 that has very poor cold idle after the cold start injector stops spraying (doesn't idle when cold unless assisted with my right foot or opening the black idle adjust screw ALL THE WAY.)

I initially suspected leaky injector seals, bad CPR, or bad AAV. I replaced the injector seals, they were old and brittle. Problem persists. I replaced the CPR 3 times. I was sure it must be the CPR...How could I get 3 bad CPRs in a row?!?!? Problem persists. SO I figure it must be the AAV. I pulled it out when warm. It was closed. I tossed it in the freezer for an hour or so i figure...It was COLD. And I posted on brickboard with a picture of it. Well, I was told it looked normal.

Okay, so I bought a k-jet fuel pressure tester. Long story short, I lost one of the CPR washers/seals and havent been able to test it yet...But I did take a picture of the AAV at probably 60 degrees. It's almost entirely closed. That can't be right can it? Have a look for yourself and let me know if it looks right again. I have to run down to Jim Fisher Volvo again tomorrow because they gave me the wrong washers/seals today. I'm still going to test the fuel pressures when I get another washer, but I'm still suspecting this AAV as well. Can I adjust it in any way?

Thanks in advance!

-Alex
