leaking seals around water pump 900 1992

Hi all
Since my last post about loosing coolant slowly the car has been loosing coolant more rapidly. I narrowed it down to the seals at the water pump. The upper seal is leaking slowly. There is some green goo around it. And also there seems to be a leak from below the pump. I had my water pump replaced in Dec of 2002 after a similar leak. I thought that the pump would last another 10 years but here it is again, leaking. I replaced my radiator Dec 2003 and used prestone initially for a month or two before the indie put in volvo green when I took the car in for a pressure check. My question is do I need to replace the water pump or can I get away with just replacing the seals. A search on brickboard reveals that volvo green tends to destroy seals so maybe thats what happened. If I need to replace is OEM the best or can I go for something like GMB. About coolant is prestone good enough or is there some other super thing ?

Thanks
