Tail lamp lens removal? 700

Hi all,

My tail lamp lenses are cracked (more like split) right where the 1157 dual filament lamp is (stop/perimiter lamp).

Can the lens be removed from the assembly? or is it permanently bonded to the rear portion? I'd like to epoxy the lens from the backside to prevent water from getting in. Not to mention, I'd like to improve the reflector a wee bit. Seems that it is difficult to distinguish between brake and perimiter lamp operation...

Mine is an '87 760 with the chrome strips. I would have bought new ones, but the car is getting close to the point where I will be replacing it with something newer.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated
