245 front suspension noise 200

i recently bought an 86' 245 with 213k on it. The front suspension is noisy and clunks alot when you go over any bumps. I thought I could solve it by replacing the ball joints. This didn't help much. What other components should I consider? Is fixing this a do it yourself job or should I take it to a suspension shop? How expensive do you guys think it would be either way?
