I just reviewed the FAQ for 7xx/90 and did not find an answer to my question.
I have a 1986 non turbo 240 wagon with an automatic transmission. I washed the engine awhile back, and afterward started the engine. Then engine started fine, but after running for 5 minutes sputtered and would not restart. I found the main wire harness insulation completely failed.
I replaced the failed wires, but the car still wouldn't start. I then installed a used wire harness.
I have spark to the plugs, and the engine turns over fine. Fuel is not coming out ot the injectors, and the fuel pump is pressurizing. I do not show voltage at the injector connection when turning over the engine.
From reading, I understand that the Bosch ECU is the last thing to go; but is there a way to determine if it has failed?
Also: What voltage should I be sensing at the injector?
Any suggestions are welcome.
Thanks for any help.
