Praise, questions and MPG's 700 1989

I kissed my red,1989 745T square on the grill after we got home from a 2000-mile round trip from NC to MI yesterday. A few days before T-giving, I was very apprehensive because of a stalling problem I was having with the radio suppression relay. After a thorough investigation of the suspected wiring, I came to the conclusion it was cracked solder on the relay itself.
10 minutes with my soldering iron and the car starts, idles and runs like new!!!

Well, we loaded up 6-days worth of luggage for 3 people and took off. The original Turbo engine had been replaced with a non-turbo but it had plenty of pep to keep her at 75MPH the majority of the trip, including up the VA and WVa mountains. I'm very meticulous and the 8 times I topped off my tank the averages were:
gallons consumed miles traveled
6.31 170
6.56 180
9.00 236
7.39 196

On the way back:
6.69 175
6.75 184
5.51 152
8.61 230

Average was 26.75MPG on the way up (65-70MPH)and 26.87MPG on the way back (70-75MPH), for a grand total average 26.81MPG for the trip!!! Oh, and less than $175 in fuel...

Ok, now the questions. Do the Turbo versions of the 740 wagons have stiffer suspension components/roll bars? Mine rolls plenty and makes me very uncomfortable in fast sweeping turns...
What about automatic tranny gearing? Mine holds 3rd gear till' about 3500RPM then drops into OD but all the way down to 1900-2000RPM. At 60MPH she's turning 2000RPM's.
Thanks for your time!!!
