Thanks for your reply! I'm not sure about the tranny, but it does lock up after the 4th gear engages, dropping the revs a few hundred RPM's lower. What markings should I look for to ID the tranny? What about the differential? How can I tell if it's a Posi-Trac? As for Michigan, we were in the Grand Rapids/Kentwood area visiting; we live in NC. Good route for hi-speed driving, but I can only put up with 17-hour drives for so long...!
