Duty cycle for 240DL 200 1984

Set the duty cycle on my 1984 245DL to 50% but seems to be running lean. Does anyone know what the recommended value is? Looked through the Haynes manual but cannot find anything. I have heard that the Bentley manual may have the right value. B23F engine.
