Upper Chassis Braces 200 1985

Just purchased a set of Volvo upper chassis braces. Looks pretty straight forward to install, but not sure. Came with bolt, nut, washer and bushing for each side. What goes were, assume the factory bolt hole is threaded or is there a trick to getting nut through the fresh air vent?
