odd wear on front tires S90-V90

Alright. When I bought this car used back in April, the front tires were worn on their outer edges. But the car drove perfectly straight at all speeds, so i figured it had an alignment problem in the past, but figured it had been corrected. In May, i got a new set of tires installed. The car drives great, no pulling to either side, no odd shakes or shimmies. You could just point this thing down a straight stretch of highway, set the cruise control, and take a nap. But now the outer edges are just starting to wear a little more than the center.

Is this normal for these cars? Is there some steering/suspension mechanism that wears out, causing this symptom?

On possibly related note: I noticed that this car has the tightest turning radius of anything I've ever driven (aside from a Jeep wrangler and an all-wheel-steering prelude). When I turn the wheel to full lock and let go, the wheel doesn't attempt to unwind like on other cars. It's almost as though the front tires have gone past the point no return. Is that normal? I can see how this much angle could wear the edges of my front tires down.
