i have a 1987 240 and i was wondering if anyone knows how to fix a seatbelt that won't go back to its home?

I will use the seatbelt and then when i unlatch the belt it won't go back and roll up.

Anyone have any pointers of what to look for to fix it and if it is possible

thank you its kinda frustrating when you have to make sure your seat belt isn't in the door.
